My last grip broke after being loose for a while. In the end I decided to replace it with this one. When I first installed it I felt like the screws weren't long enough and it wasn't tight enough. There are ledges on the outside door where the holes were that looked like they needed to be put in, but since they didn't go in I assumed they were just meant to sit outside and that was the problem. I used a hammer and tapped the handle lightly to push each tab into the holes and then the handle was flush with the door. After that I had to switch to shorter screws as the longer screws were too long before they became too short. Now the grip works great and feels very solid and reliable.
