This replacement solved my problem with the drip water dispenser on my fridge which is only about 6 years old. I held the cup under the dispenser but within a few days the cup was full. I found a YouTube video that gave me enough confidence to try it myself. Go to YouTube and search "How to Fix Drip Water Dispenser - Kenmore Whirlpool Supco Fridge Repair" posted March 24, 2014. My fridge is Kenmore model 106.51109 110 and the OE part number is 2188708. The compatibility search has it not helped. This part number is listed as compatible, but the Sears parts website lists it as a valid replacement for part #W10408179 and this part is listed as compatible with the part sold by Revain. The replacement was pretty easy, it looked pretty much the same as the original. I didn't cut my hoses for a cleaner connection, just cleaned the existing hose connection really well and there were no leaks. It took less than an hour, including clearing the huge dust buildup. I would recommend taking pictures of the connectors and hoses with your phone before unplugging them to make sure you plugged them in correctly.
