Review on 🎨 Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolor Studio Set: 45 Half Pans for Creative Excellence by Richard Singleton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice color scheme. - Painting

The W&N Cotman Series is a very popular affordable watercolor so everyone already knows how good it is. This is my first watercolor set from w&n and I am very happy with it so far. However, I think the Royal Talens Van Gogh range (which I've been using for a long time) is "a bit" better than this one in terms of quality and pigmentation. Maybe it's just me. In any case, there is not much difference. This set has a very good coloring. Actually it's 40 + 5 halves. 5 of which are duplicates: 1-alizarin raspberry tone (003) 2-ultramarine (099) 3-yellow ocher (744) 4-black ivory (331) 5-chinese sweat (150) In plastic packaging 2 pcs. Palettes that offer 8 small, 4 large mixing baffles and a gap that can hold 1 long brush. You can also put 2 thin long brushes or 2 short brushes there. (Brushes not included) One thing that caught my attention is that while some bowls are full, even run out of the bowl, some bowls have much less paint in them. Not a big problem, but since we're paying the same for each individual pot, I think everyone should have the same amount of paint, but that's not the case. If that bothers you, you might not want to buy this set. Although it's not that bad.
