Review on Dell 21.5-inch LED Lit Monitor P2219H - 🖥️ Full HD 1080P, 60Hz, Height, Pivot, and Tilt Adjustment by Anthony Stewart

I needed a second monitor for my upstairs system. My requirements were crisp text, good brightness and reasonably good color reproduction on a 1080p system. Microsoft Office (especially Word & Excel), YouTube, surfing. This Dell 2219H exceeds my expectations in every way. PROS: The picture is amazing. While the scale - without adjustment - is on top. Of course it's bright enough. I'm viewing a 1080p wallpaper of a mountain lake with windsurfers on a clear blue day with clouds. No streaks, no hotspots, no IPS glow issues, no stuck pixels. The details in the rocks near the shore are striking. I am using the HDMI connection. This monitor's bezel is absent at the top and sides and minimal (0.5 inch) at the bottom. Very thin. The base is solid and VERY adjustable (height, pan, pan and tilt). There is no hesitation. You didn't skimp here. Hassle-free boxing experience: I was able to get this installed and running from start to finish in less than 5 minutes. (It was double boxed, by the way, but I didn't have to go through a thousand things to get the product.) Windows 10 recognized it right away. I didn't have to make any adjustments. It was painless.* You have plenty of ports (HDMI, DisplayPort, and D-Sub VGA) and cables. (NOTE: I'm not interested in the USB ports on the monitors, but they are there if you want them. One of the ports is USB 3.0). -D interface, TN panel) Sitting next to him, he looks a bit awkward / Fisher-Price. Don't get me wrong, Viewsonic is a great brand and has served me well, but the difference is so clear I'll probably buy a second Dell 2219H to replace my old monitor - it's that good.* Dell 2219H - optically and physically - takes up very little desktop real estate for your viewing area. CONS: * It's "only" 1080p. For some people, such permission is an outdated commodity. For my purposes I don't care. This monitor is an example of advanced **affordable** 1080p that still looks damn good. YMMV.* Gamers may or may not find this suitable for their purposes. The specs I found mention a 5ms response time. YMMV.* This is honeymoon. Let's see durability.* I can't say I checked out the image adjustment controls, BECAUSE I DON'T NEED TO DO ANYTHING! The picture is absolutely perfect. I have an old scaled down 19" Dell monitor (VGA only) that has been working great for the past 3 years. My son has a Dell U2412 which is still working after 4.5 years. I can't speak for the sRGB color space. I would very much like to edit 6 megapixel 1080p JPEGs from my Sony HX-30 camera on this one. CONCLUSION: So far very very satisfied. 5 Stars. Value for money, I almost want to give it a 6. An excellent 1080 monitor with excellent performance.
