I bought a nice double bed from a smoker with a quality orthopedic mattress. It smelled so awful but $150 for a king and I was dying to go with a queen. I cleaned it, bleached the surface, bought a mattress topper and an ozone generator. After removing the mattress and part of the bed, I installed this generator in the room, sealed it and let it run for over 24 hours. I didn't exactly time it and thought it might take longer, but it looks like it did the job. It's been a week and the bed still smells fresh. In another room, my husband spilled some brush cleaner on the carpet thinking it would weather, but months have passed and even with the window open with the window fan on or the room closed with the hepa filter running at full blast for weeks, it still smells just don't dissolve! So I thought why not try it. Ozone bomb in the room. I put it up, sealed it, let it work for a day and solved this problem.
