I use these outlet systems in my bedroom and my son's room and know that my nephew who is going to college for the first time will definitely need one of these for his dorm room this fall. It plugs into your wall and turns your outlet into a power strip for regular plugs and USB ports for many of the devices we need to charge these days. Technically, a regular wall outlet becomes a 10-socket option. It is much safer than a surge protection bar and saves a lot of space when space is tight. It should be on the dorm room decor list for every parent of a prospective college student.
