My concern is that you can't see enough of what appears to be direct light coming from the front of the device. Shouldn't we avoid direct UV exposure? I have no intention of sitting in front of it and staring longingly into the forbidden light, but doesn't UV bombardment ruin the paint/varnish/plastic it might be aimed at? this thing can be done or not. I don't have any particular odors or mold that I'm trying to control with this, I'm just concerned about my indoor air quality and figured I should try something. Well, since that's not the case, they asked me to rate three things: Thickness: I admire it when I'm asked to rate the "thickness" of a device. It's really thick and square as you would expect from something that needs an internal chamber to pump air to make the UV lamp work. Noise Level: It's loud. It sounds like an oven or bathroom fan (if you have one). It doesn't bother me much because he's very consistent. almost like a white noise generator. Sleep mode: There is a timer you can set (in hours) after which it will turn off automatically. I haven't used it, but it's so simple I have no reason to believe it won't work. After reviewing the manual again, it turns out that there is a similar auto-activation feature you can set, which I don't want to use either.
