Great item! I have a 5.7L Silverado 97k1500. Aluminum is certainly better than plastic "for handouts anyway". Find number one on the compression stroke, adjust it so the knob points to the little figure eight on the rim, and tighten the latch. I used mine first as it was made from a heavier material and works well. The one that comes with this new manifold looks more like a stamped thin piece of metal. It took the longest time to reach the block with a long screwdriver to loosen the oil pump shaft so it engaged properly. Definitely recommend this distributor!
