the water came out. Every time I bumped one of the plants with the vacuum tube, bits of "material" like plastic or something would fall off of it. When I was done there was garbage floating in the water everywhere. it looked awful and couldn't be good for the fish. I managed to get the most out of it with a fishing net after almost an hour, probably injuring the fish. I took out the plants, washed them well and put them back in and that never happened again. I washed and soaked the plants first, so I have no idea what got dissolved in these plants after a few weeks in the water.
