These connectors are fine for general dry use but definitely not as good as other connectors advertised for marine use that I have used. These connectors have shrink caps, but the plastic is very stiff and takes much longer to shrink under the heat gun, has little internal adhesive to make a watertight seal, and fully solidifies after cooling. melt quickly at lower temperatures and remain soft and flexible after cooling. I also cut several connectors and none of them contained copper inside. So my guess is that these are functional aluminum shrink connectors, but they are not marine grade. I purchased two different sets of "Marine" shrink connectors for a project through Revain and neither set came with actual marine connectors. Next time I'll take the Harbor Freight, which is much higher quality for the Marines.
