Review on 🔋 Enhanced Performance: RS 550S 18V Electronic Controlled Replacement by Scott King

This motor was just what I needed to bring my Black and Decker 18 volt cordless trimmer back to life. Now it works better than ever. :-) In the original, and possibly in this motor, the brushes touch the commutator to power the coils. (absolutely normal with such motors) The only problem is that over time the brushes wear out and need to be replaced. As the brushes are not interchangeable, the entire motor is eventually replaced and B&D ceases production. Also, make sure things match up. Black and Decker produced many different models, some of which did not work with this engine. (but many do). Requires visual inspection and spec check, but this worked for me. The shaft was a bit shorter but still long enough to be ok.
