The beard balm itself works very well. It has a good medium hold but you don't need a heat gun or warm water to melt it, just put some in your palm and work between your fingers and it will melt. I've used many others over the years but this one takes the cake. I can't describe how happy I am to finally find something that smells good and makes my beard soft and luscious. This thing is intoxicating. I love this scent and so does everyone who comes close to me. It doesn't smell like cigars or smoke, so don't let that distract you. It goes nice and smooth with no lumps and the container looks cool. Mine was a little wrinkled but I don't mind such a fantastic product. I find its scent fascinating. The second I smell this stuff, the more I keep looking for it, it's just beautiful. After years of searching, I found my beard balm. Now for the people who complained about the canister lid, I had no problem taking it off or putting it back on. For me it crashes immediately.
