Review on Yokohama BluEarth-A AE-50 215/65 R17 99V summer by Stanislaw Grzechnik ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poor quality, not suitable for use.

Introductory: Car 1600 kg, rear-wheel drive, driving mainly in St. Petersburg, that is, on asphalt, with the possibility of high speeds on the ring road, WHSD and some regional directions. Before these tires, there was and is a positive experience with winter Yokohama, which is why I chose it for the summer. Balanced very well, about 20 grams per wheel. I left for almost two seasons, until the end of the second summer there was not enough rubber, so I rolled the summer on Michelin Energy. Very quiet compared to Michelin. In fact, the noise from driving appears at about 110 km / h and, most likely, it is the noise of the wind. The tread and sidewalls are also softer to the touch than Michelin. The sidewall is generally very thin, in case of an unfortunate set of circumstances it will be easy to pierce. There were never any problems with traction on the asphalt, it accelerated to 190 km / h. Wet pavement is also excellent, hydroplaning in small ruts appears at about 130 km / h. In large puddles, of course, you need to drive more slowly. The operation was approximately 20,000 km. During this period, hernias appeared on three tires, the tread was worn out by 25-30 percent. Winter tires were Filipino, and summer 2022.

Pros
  • Lightweight, quiet, good grip on asphalt.
Cons
  • Short-lived, suddenly died of hernias.
