Fur. it works!: fish & aquatic animals

so i used this light on my 10 gallon insulated tank. There has never been light in this tank because light can cause more stress for the fish and stress is the last thing you want from a sick fish whose illness was most likely caused by some kind of stress but at the same time fish are in isolation tanks need to be monitored most closely, and what better way than to illuminate them. The light came fairly well packaged, wrapped in bubble wrap and housed in a generic white box. The first thing I noticed upon unboxing was a label on the glass side that said "Do not submerge in water". Good; This is an aquarium lamp. I will not submerge it in water. The label is a little intimidating as it implies that this electronic product designed for use in water is not water resistant and there is nothing to say the flashlight is water resistant. This product is of very low quality, which is already evident upon accepting it. It's made with only inferior materials and feels cheap from the body to the legs and remote control. But there are no points for this, because that's what you expect from an aquarium light in this price range. The great thing is that the light is simply plug and play. Extend the legs to fit your tank, connect and you're good to go. Nothing with it. I wasn't expecting an aquarium light in this price range to come with a battery already installed in the remote control, but this was a pleasant surprise. You can either select a specific color of light with the remote control and dim or brighten it, or you can switch between different colors with the small button on the power cord. There are even instructions on how to program the remote if it doesn't work with the light, which is nice, although mine worked right away. Is this light worth it? Well it works, I can say that. I don't think it's worth it. For a few euros more you can get something better. The descriptions state that the light is suitable for a tank up to 23 inches. It's not like that at all. I installed this mount on a 20.25" 10 gallon aquarium and it barely fits. I'm not judging this light on the quality of materials because I expected it to be cheaply made at this price point, but I will say it lasts a very long time due to the poor quality the light is made in. There is nothing to tell you whether the light has a water resistance rating or not and no labels or anything to tell you says if it's UL certified so it's a little sketchy. You won't be creating custom colors to light your aquarium with this light as all colors are preset. The light also has this blue LED on the power cord that turns turns on and is very bright when the light is on. I don't see the point of it and it's just a distraction, especially if you're using this in the room you're relaxing in. This light fixture is suitable for those who have a fish room in their garage or basement. You don't want this piece to be installed in the main room of the house, such as in a bedroom. B. in the family room or living room where you accommodate guests. I gave it 3 stars just because it works as advertised. However, the value just isn't there in my opinion. You can get a much better quality for a few dollars more, and for those few dollars you have the peace of mind that it's waterproof and UL certified. At the moment this works for my isolator as I don't turn it on very often and the isolator is out of sight in another room. I don't think I would really buy this lamp for myself.
