I have suffered with this thing for a long time even after reading the instructions and watching the informational video posted in the review. All information showed how the assembly fits together and how it can be adjusted and bolted. I don't know how, but it's different for me. I can't remember which part it is as I assembled it a while ago, but somehow the part attaches to the main bolt very differently than pictured. Doesn't appear to be a defect, just a different version. Well no matter what version I have, it's pretty bad. I can tighten the system before attaching the projector, but the moment I attach the projector it rigidly locks into place at that angle. This makes it impossible to properly install the projector. Another way of tightening my screw also tightens the adjustable cup, which means I have to loosen it a bit to level the projector. Once you loosen it a little, the whole projector comes off. This way my projector is securely attached to the mount, but the mount is loose enough to give the cup room to wobble. And that latitude is compromised every time you connect or disconnect a cable to the projector. All in all just not great. But now that I know where my projector will be mounted, I can buy one specifically for myself.
