I live in a townhouse in an urban area and unfortunately a few houses in my area have been vacant for over a year with real estate flippers constantly buying and selling them. This led to them becoming infested with mice, which led to me seeing them in my home as well, despite all the usual precautions (leaving no food, etc.). I was desperate so I tried both this product and a similar product combining two sets to cover all three floors of my home. work. For the first week after plugging it in, I saw increased activity - probably four or five times my level - but the instructions warned this was going to happen as they basically go into panic mode. It's been two weeks since then and I haven't seen any new footprints from my furry friends, even when we accidentally left food on the table overnight. plug in and done. If you want to switch between night light and dim light, just press the button. I was annoyed that there was no way to turn off the lights as even the faint light reflected off the white wall was bright enough to disturb my wife's sleep. I also have a dog and she hasn't responded to five of them. six repellers, but she perked up every time I pocketed the sixth. One turned out to be running at a different frequency than the others, and when I got very close to it (about a foot) I could just about make out the sine wave it was making, not unlike the noise you hear when your ears were ringing and it just went away, just went away and gone for a few seconds. I ended up putting her in the basement, which is not where she goes anyway, and luckily the sound doesn't seem to be coming through the walls or floor because she hasn't shown a reaction since. a noticeable difference in frequency from others makes me question the quality control, but I also balance this fact with the fact that a) sometimes unexpected things happen during production and you get a defective product, and b) six or even five repellers for less than 25 dollars get good deal. I should add that we had one stubborn fly in our house that we never managed to catch, but it flew away a day or two after these repellers arrived. Overall, I'm impressed with how well they performed. It annoys me that there's no way to completely turn off their lights and one of the six in the box didn't meet specs, but overall they've solved an issue I've had for months. days, so I'm willing to forgive their shortcomings, especially at this price point.
