It appears to have been dropped heavily
Arrived damaged. The aluminum cover of the voltage regulator was dented and the output electrode was bent. The package also contained fragments of the generator housing. Looks like it dropped a lot. I had to fix it a bit to at least be able to connect car plugs to it. So I put it in the car anyway. It works, but there are still some problems because I have to increase the RPM so that the "Charge Warning" goes off every morning when I start the engine. Then it works all day. Probably a problem with the voltage regulator as its cover was damaged.
