I've been using this oil for over two years now, this is the first time I've seen it at Revain for less than Wally World and it's delivered straight to my door! how good is the oil Note that I have the oil analyzed at Blackstone Laboratories fairly regularly and have tested it at 5,000 and 10,000 miles (it was changed at 10,000). In both test intervals, with 10,000 changes, it still had an estimated remaining service life of 7,000, which corresponds to an oil run of 17,000 miles. I don't go over 10,000 because I'm old school and remember 3/3000 as the gold standard for an oil change. A couple of caveats - I changed the filter (Wix) at about 5k, for me it's cheap insurance. I disagree that a Mobil 1 filter is required and/or superior to a quality filter from another manufacturer. Yes I know you need to use a Mobil 1 filter to get "full protection" but if you have an oil spill at say 12,000 miles good luck with your collection, whatever filter you used, because they will surely say that you have been deployed in the toughest conditions and had to go through a tough mode change cycle. Could be a bug, but like most warranties, there are more reasons to refuse payment than to pay a claim. Once again I trust Blackstone's comprehensive oil analysis. You have no skin on the oil side of the game, so you have every reason to be honest and open about your specific findings. And in the interests of full disclosure, when I used a "regular" synthetic Mobil 1 in the same car (2012 Honda Accord BTW) and sent in a 7500 mile analysis, it came back with a suggestion to increase the interval by 5000 miles extend, so does the base synthetic - exceptional oil. If the Revain wasn't so reasonably priced right now, I'd go for the regular version, but at essentially the same price, for the enhanced version. full 15,000 with tests on this car as I have a fourteen year history of testing for comparison purposes starting with regular dinosaur oil, over 30,000 miles to Mobil 1 and now Extended. I only use Toyota OEM filters and will change them mid cycle with testing then and at the end.
