Just received this after ordering with some serious doubts about its quality. To my surprise, it's better than I thought. I liken it to a reputable knee brace from you-know-what company. While I don't think it prevents hyperextension or lateral deflection, I think it at least protects your skin and bones from a blunt impact. and at least the very first effort/effect before it falls apart. The belt system is a hook system. As you can see from the attached photo, this is more of a shin and knee guard. Look for a similar knee brace that goes up the leg much higher but not below the knee. Most riding boots are too tall for this knee brace, but it is thin enough to fit inside the boot. Very light and physically light. It's not really limiting. I think it will be entry level protection that is better than nothing. Hope you get the message.
