I ordered it to replace a 1080p TV that had a decent 3000:1 contrast ratio and vibrant colors but had no customization or gaming features. For the price it's excellent - you get Displayport 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 ports and a modest 144Hz refresh rate. The screen can be tilted up and down (but not left and right), it can be raised by a reasonable amount and be lowered, and the stand is decent enough. As for the monitor itself, first off, it's not going to look all that great. from the box. By the way, the default brightness is set to maximum. It has a little knob/button under the front that allows you to change all the settings and you should definitely do that. The initial preset (called "Player 1") is fully customizable, while others have certain parameters locked. Before you worry it doesn't look good, take the time to fix it. It's worth it. It supports HDR10 but lacks all the key features (high contrast ratio, high brightness and local dimming) needed to use it. Don't expect much, but use it if you like it. Second, it's an IPS panel with a low contrast ratio (around 1000:1). Watching TV from a TV or VA panel will definitely require your eyes to adjust. Colors are slightly different from other panels, especially a TV with good post processing. No amount of tweaking in settings will completely fix this, but you'll get used to it. On the plus side, you get a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, and even simple things like moving the cursor or a window feel better. It is compatible with both AMD FreeSync and G-Sync, but is not G-Sync certified. This means that Nvidia cards do not activate G-Sync immediately. You need to go to your card's control panel and enable G-Sync for the monitor. It will state that the monitor isn't certified as compatible, but it won't stop you from turning it on. The monitor has a 3.5mm input for speakers or headphones, but I advise you to avoid it. If it's cut anywhere, it's here. The sound seems quieter (even with the monitor volume turned up) and of lower quality. If possible, just plug in your speakers/soundbar/etc. directly to your PC or console. This way you get a much better sound. Overall, this is probably the best 1080p gaming monitor in its price range. It won't give you the best picture quality when watching movies or more cinematic single-player games, but if you value performance you won't find anything better without spending a lot more.
