Worked exactly as I hoped and solved a wiring problem in an apartment that I can't repeat (for obvious reasons). I would give that a five, except they made the remote unit balanced - you can't tell which end is which in the dark. The design team for the next iteration can learn from the folks who have been designing remotes for years, the TV/cable/set top box guys. The most obvious solution? Sharpen an end. Cheap, easy. A groove or other tactile signal (change in surface material) will also work. UPDATE: Since I wrote this review, the station has just died. (Yes, I replaced the battery. Now I will replace this device.) This time I will buy something else.
