Foam planks are good on their own, but the peeling and sticking backing is terrible, even with very careful installation. Before covering the deck, it was thoroughly cleaned according to the instructions. The deck was completely dry and the eva panels were pressed in place with a roller. What I believe happens is that when exposed to direct sunlight the adhesive softens and allows the sides to pull up a bit, and then water ingress is followed by a relatively rapid complete breakdown of the adhesive. All is not lost, however, pulling the deck up and reusing it with a good contact adhesive seems to solve most adhesion problems, but you do need to completely remove the old adhesive, which as mentioned above is a time-consuming messy task. I think it would be better if they sold the product without the glue and let the end user apply something better.
