Perfect - very functional and very easy to install

Bought two of these, great build quality and very easy installation. I wanted to have USB outlets for our boys' devices, and both of our main cars have large rear seats, but no USB ports in the back. I've installed this (in every car) on the back of the front center console and it looks like it came from the factory. Luckily, both consoles had 12-volt outlets in the same spot, so plugging them in wasn't difficult at all. Although there are many ways to drill a hole, the best way is with a step drill. Once up and running, you'll never want to use a hole saw again, and you can get a non-brand saw for very little money. If you can remove the console trim that's perfect (both of our machines popped out, one with 4 screws and the other with just a bracket). Drill a pilot hole and then take your time with the step nozzle. I think the diameter is about 1 1/8" but if you make it too big it's game over. So come closer and then move even slower. I made both holes slightly smaller than the diameter and then the nest actually threads into the plastic of your console/dash.The lock nut doesn't need much tension at all and is actually easy to remove, so just tighten and dab where the nut meets the socket and where the socket hitting the back of the fairing. This will keep anything from vibrating. I would recommend you actually cut off part of the cap and still use the rubber washers just to isolate the plastic/metal fairing. There was no LED of any kind that I wanted.

  • Good thing
Cons
