Outstanding name-brand rotors for really cheap

These rotors are labeled as Avid HS1 discs and having compared them to other Avid brakes, I find no reason to doubt they're legit. Excellent design and quality. You can see in my image the design is essentially the same as the much more expensive TRP-29 rotors in the background, just without the TRP's slots of questionable effectiveness. My one criticism is that for MTB use, the small drilled holes don't clear out mud as quickly as brakes with larger ones. That tiny criticism aside, these are…

Pros
  • Replacement rotor for Terratrike rover.
Cons
  • Can potentially warp over time with frequent use

I brought these for a second set of wheels for my gravel bike. After installation, as expected minor adjustments are needed due to a different wheelset. Even with old pads, these work just as fine and no squeals. There is initially more noise for the rotor to wear in, but after 1-2 rides they've quieted down. These were also completely true, and no brake rubs once I've adjusted them.

Pros
  • I replace on my Stumpjumper 2021 and fits perfect.
Cons
  • Difficult to find replacement rotors in case of damage

We get what we pay for

So first : I suspect that although these are marked as "Avid " brand … these are actually a knock off . The Branding logo is lightly laser etched onto the surface , while the real Avid ones are stamped deeply right into the disc . Mine were warped right out of the bag . Before I returned mine I purchased some genuine Avid discs which confirmed that these are fakes . The real ones have almost no flex because the steel is much harder and slightly thicker ( these flex easily ) the real ones are…

Pros
  • Good for the money
Cons
  • Limited range of size options for different bike types

Quality brake rotors and includes quality bolts.

I bought a set of these to replace an uneven no-name rotor on an ebike which was causing brake stutter and unacceptably long braking distances.Though the shipping packaging Best Buy used gave me cause for concern about the rotors getting damaged since it didn't offer any meaningful protection, they were flat, of consistent thickness and finish. Plus they included quality bolts with Lock-tite already applied!Best Buy really needs to ship products like this in protective packaging, like a…

Pros
  • Like that you don't have to break the bank to stop right.
Cons
  • Make sure you look at your item they was not the size that I was supposed to have had

Cheap products that does the job.

Does the job. Nothing special, but it'll stop you consistently and within a reasonable distance. I would recommend. Be warned they did come warped. Just massage them a bit with an open ended wrench once you get them mounted.

Pros
  • Helps you stop more quickly in emergency situations
Cons
  • Can be prone to rust and corrosion

Avid brand rotors, missing 1 screw

They came as described and are branded as Avid. Came with 2 rotors and only 11 torx screws :/ so maybe quality control isn't quite there. That's why i only gave it 4 stars.

Pros
  • Tolerates extreme temperatures and conditions for reliable braking in any situation
Cons
  • Requires specialized knowledge to install and adjust properly

You can tell these are cheap

I have a $40 rotor on my front and this in the back. It is much more flimsy that the front one. It seems to work just fine without any issue, but if you have the money, I would definitely go with a more expensive rotor. This could be the reason you die someday.

Pros
  • Affordable upgrade that can improve the safety and enjoyment of your rides
Cons
  • Increases the overall skill level required to properly use the brake system

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent quality but you get what you pay for.

These noticably warp easier than oem rotors from heat and are thicker than oem as well. However, they do their job and fit my bike.

Pros
  • Enhances your overall cycling experience with improved braking performance
Cons
  • May require regular replacement of brake pads

You can brake without breaking the bank!

My bike sat for a bit and I wanted to get back into riding. Noticed some rust on the rotors so I bought these to replace them. Easy install. I've been on about 6 rides each around 20 miles and have no complaints. Great price!

Pros
  • Outside Diameter: 203mm. Center Distance: 44mm. Thickness: 1.9mm
Cons
  • Can be difficult to remove without specialized tools

Revainrating 4 out of 5

good value good for me

At first I was concerned about the narrow surface area of the braking surface. But now, after braking in, this rotor has good stopping power for moderate use. I have not used this rotor under conditions requiring prolonged and repeated downhill use.

Pros
  • They are brake rotors, not much else to say, great price.
Cons
  • Requires more pressure on the brake lever for effective braking

Grinds the caliper on steep descend

Great value for a very solid product. A couple of issues. First, when braking on steep descend, the wavy edge touches the caliper. I had to file the edges a bit. After that it is working nicely. Second, one of the bolts stripped under the recommended torque of 50 in lb. I will have a hard time removing the rotor in the future.

Pros
  • Lightweight design won't add unnecessary weight to your bike
Cons
  • Can generate excess noise during use

Good deal. Work great & good value

Surprise something that works Well at a Great priceLess then the best you can get but definitely worth it because they work.Keep an eye on brake pads as you go and the rotors should last. Rate as Good.

Pros
  • Did not fit, sent 160mm, needed 180mm.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to align properly with the caliper

A bit heavy but likely to last

Bought these for my wife’s e-fatbike. It came with 160mm rotors and they were barely sufficient for the riding we do. The mountains of the Pacific Northwest are steep and on long descents the 160mm rotors got cooked. This kit is two rotors and they were true right of the package. The only trick was getting the right adapters for the Tektro brakes on the bike. The contact path on the 200mm rotors is wide, and the wavy edge means I wasn’t able to get the calipers as far inboard as I wanted. Any…

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • Can cause damage to wheels with prolonged use

Great value good for me

Amazing quality, actually avid brand rotors. I didn’t expect that. Have yet to ride but so far super happy with what I got for the money!

Pros
  • Multiple size options to fit different wheel sizes and preferences
Cons
  • Can take longer to slow down the bike compared to other rotors

Power Rotor: Excellent quiet, heavy duty stopping power!

I used these 160mm disks to replace the stock rotors that were fitted to my VIVI e-bike. These rotors were very easy to install, made of quality stainless steel and provide excellent stopping power. The original rotors whilst made of a heavier material warped quite easily causing noise and Squeaking. These new rotors coupled with new semi metallic brake pads solved my braking issues. Please note: the e-bike I used these rotors on weighs 24 kilos (50lbs), travels at 32kmh (20MPH) and I and am…

Pros
  • Adds extra control and confidence to your rides
Cons
  • Can cause the brake pads to glaze over time

I read many reviews that said these were "Avid gray market". Although the price was too good to be true, I took a chance anyway. Mine were NOT marked Avid, and right away I could tell they were not name brand in any way. The rotor surfaces had not been prepped, sanded or otherwise, and the grain of the steel ran in one clear direction. When installed, they rubbed intermittently because they are not completely flat, and after several break in rides with new Avid pads on bb7 calipers, these were…

Pros
  • Not the highest quality but for a re-build perfict
Cons
  • Can be difficult to find replacement parts if damaged or worn

Comes with new mounting screws.

Very nice quality, I didn’t even know I was purchasing Avid brand brake rotors. Came with the screws also. That's my review!

Pros
  • Perfect
Cons
  • Decreases overall ride comfort due to increased weight

Get what you pay for

The disk seemed fine when new. However shortly after installing them, I noticed that the rotor on the rear wheel of my E-bike was vibrating. It took some time to confirm the vibration was coming from the rotors and not something else. I was able to dampen the vibration by using electrical tape between the ribs of the rotor. It was annoying that I had to do this to reduce the noise, but acceptable. However, I have recently noticed that the front rotor is beginning to rust after only 8 months of…

Pros
  • Offers a high-quality, reliable alternative to factory rotors
Cons
  • Can cause the bike to become unbalanced during braking

Excellent value/product for most recreational bike riders

Excellent value/product, easy to install. Would work well for any recreational bike riding use. Be sure to order the correct size for your bike. Look on the disc on your bike there should be a number, usually 160, 180, 200 that’s the Disc size You need to match in order when buying

Pros
  • Rotors
Cons
  • Some users report difficulty with mounting the rotor securely

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Be aware of size for my opinion

These disc off the bat felt good. I have them on a motorized bike and they work amazing. Only problem some people may have is clearance with the forks and caliper adapters. Would defiantly recommend for how cheep these are

Pros
  • They are good for now
Cons
  • Expensive compared to alternative options
