The original fan motor on my '95 Cadillac DeVille (4.9) failed - in the dead of winter of course - so I bought it hoping to avoid paying more than $255 for an OEM replacement. Well it worked. It took a few minutes to turn on after the machine started, and it stayed at the set speed even if you tried to change it while the fan was running. If I had the fan set to high at startup, it would not switch to low or turn itself off. In fact, it continued to work after I turned off the device. It at least kept me warm until I had time to replace it with a new OEM fan (ACDelco 15-80205), so I give it 2 points. Stars instead of 1. But I had to lug around an 8mm wrench to loosen the battery's negative terminal just enough to turn off the blower whenever I would be somewhere for a while. the fan blades (here black, the OEMs white) are rather thin. The working area on the back of the engine is very tight and I broke it around the edge of the vanes by inserting it, not by filling and jamming. The OEM fan held up well. I removed that Four Seasons fan today and put in a new ACDelco fan and he did everything the AC told him to do so I know my CCC and wiring is fine and that's how I got it . got into this mess.
