Review on 🐠 Seachem Purigen 250ml: Superior Water Purifier for Aquariums by Jay Lopez

Purigen is amazing and easy to use

I have a Seachem Tidal 110 HOB filter with a modified filter basket, 3 levels of foam, Purigen and Bio Matrix (in that order from bottom to top). This is an amazing combo for keeping my heavily populated 60 gallon aquarium clean and tidy. I have over 40 different fish and 8 fiddler crabs so I need a good filtration system to keep it clean and tidy. I originally bought a 100ml Purigen pack but on the 5th reload the pack was compromised. I've decided to go with bulk materials and use media packs instead. I was able to fill 2 medium bags with a 250ml container. This way I can keep one bag running while the other reloads. I prefer to wear a zipper under the drawstring for security. To recharge Purigen, simply place it in your bag and place it in a small container with 50% bleach and 50% water. This can take up to 12 hours. Rinse very well and soak in water with a couple tablespoons of chlorine remover. It can last up to 8 hours but I've had less and less. I use pool chlorine test strips to ensure Purigen is safely returning to my filter.
