So this 4 position fan switch is rated at 1.5A. Calculated because I wanted to control two fans. It turns out that both fans together draw only one amp at full load. So the switch works great... Even on the lowest settings, neither the switch nor my fans make any noise. Both of my fans are Hunter fans that I recently ordered from Revain. The switch came with buttons of two different colors; an ivory and a white. Definitely a nice touch. Considering the price and performance I am very happy with this purchase and it just works. To determine how many amps your fan is drawing, find the specs and divide the fan rating by 120 volts. This will give you the current drawn. In my case it was 1/2 amp per fan.
