When I first used this set, I got scratches and inflamed gums. Toothbrushes were included. They are very soft and I rubbed them while brushing my teeth and ended up damaging my gums. Although toothbrushes are soft, applying too much pressure can cause injury. I'm used to a stiffer toothbrush so didn't feel as soft and overly balancing. Just be careful when trading for them. Feels a little different of course, both the handle and the bristles, but if you apply enough pressure those little soft bristles can hurt. The toothpaste comes in a box but also has an inner foil seal. The toothpaste itself looks like a clear, thick gel. It works well and the taste of both types is very smooth. Grapefruit isn't acidic or tart—it's just the good taste a grapefruit can have without the acidity. That is my favourite. It keeps my teeth nice and clean. These pastes certainly don't offer the best cleaning I've ever gotten from a toothpaste. never mind It's gentle and enough.
