Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic 195/60 R15 88T winter by Wiktor Pozna ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not perfect quality, some small defect.

Installed on SGVN 2.4AT. Rolled carefully last March. All this winter on it. Do not care about the noise, there are already enough bugs. Bought for the everyday combination of village-road-city in the conditions of the Ural winter. I'm not a racer, but I lost my first spikes back in October. By February, he looked again: dear mother! In loose porridge, the steering wheel must be turned, and then partially returned so that the turn does start (funny, but dangerous in the first place). In loose porridge on straight wheels, it forces the ESP system to constantly intervene, which cheerfully stifles the engine. You can get used to everything, except for the last one. Previously, 4 seasons on the same car was a Hakka 7 SUV - that one is just a vegetable, although predictable. Goodyear is sometimes more interesting, but I would not buy again, perhaps.

Pros
  • Driving on fresh, incl. 20-centimeter snow - handling "like on rails", rulitsya easily and safely, literally with one finger.
Cons
  • Lost up to 40% of spikes per season. Not friendly with ESP at all. In an icy rut, snow porridge, slush - uncertain, like a pioneer on execution. Understeer/lag on loose snow. Hydroplaning is also present, but on a moderate scale.
