Cooler Master's Notepal U3 PLUS is a well-designed, slim aluminum frame with 3 adjustable 80mm fans connected directly to the bottom of the cooler. Matching your laptop's heatsinks is a unique feature of this cooler that helps negate the lack of fan performance. Raised slightly above the surface, the laptop cools the most, and the durability of this cooler is good enough for that. If your laptop is 15" or smaller, I strongly recommend using rivets or other items to prevent your laptop from sliding due to the steeper incline. The rubber pad helps, but depending on the location of the heatsinks on the smaller laptop and the material your laptop is made of, it can be difficult to position the fans optimally and keep the laptop from sliding. The enormous size of this cooler looks like a dwarf. my 13 inch Macbook and definitely seems overkill. To avoid this, consider its dimensions and the dimensions of your laptop. However, it's still lightweight, which helps with portability if you're moving it around all the time. With no rivets, it's best to ensure the laptop sits on as much rubber as possible, regardless of the location of the heatsinks. The extra USB port balances the one used to power the fans, which is nice. The cable management accessory on the back of the cooler certainly enhances this cooler, but for the price I would prefer something cheaper if I had to buy another.
