This 7 pin socket was disappointing due to one aspect of its internal design. Its internal wire connectors only accept very small gauge stranded wire, you just can't put a larger wire into the connector. I had to use 8 gauge stranded wire and it was VERY LARGE for the internals of this outlet. I've tampered with quite a few of these over the years and this is the first time I've come across it. This is most likely the result of the "build something cheaper and make a lot of profit" philosophy. So I found another brand with the same design and replaced the theme.
