Worked for a few months. Then the check engine light came on, the code was "Engine not warming up to operating temperature". It's going way too fast. I thought the thermostat was stuck open but the thermostat was replaced a little over a year ago. I spent almost a hundred to replace the thermostat. I decided to try replacing this sensor with an OEM sensor direct from Mini first, just in case. In fact, the engine is now running at the correct temperature and the engine warning light has gone out. So this cheap sensor didn't measure the temperature correctly. The original OEM version costs about $50 more, but in my experience it's DEFINITELY worth it. This is foreign junk that can lead to misdiagnosis and costly thermostat replacements. That's hundreds of dollars for a Mini Cooper.
