, I bought two of these to use in a closet with no lighting and they broke. The only movement they detect is when we move our hand half an inch away from the sensor, and it takes a couple of tries for the light to turn on. Since one of them is ceiling mounted, I need a stool to get close enough for it to detect movement. If light comes into the closet from the hallway, these lamps no longer turn on, so sneaking up in the dark is always fun when it comes to the stool. When the light descends to work, it burns for only 15 seconds, after which the whole performance has to be repeated. The light isn't "super bright" either. Consider birthday cake candles. The only positive is that they are easy to install. Big Scream. I replaced them with a set of five motion-sensing LED pucks that a) detect motion and turn on, and b) are amazingly bright. I can try them somewhere else where I can stand next to them in total blackout and hope they emit their faint light. Don't buy them.
