This is a great ladder for a light animal and the decor is nice. I bought this for my three legged cat to keep from clinging to my couch and trying to step on it. The first few times we had to lure her up the stairs with treats or catnip, but once she got used to walking up the stairs she loved them and preferred lying on the top step to lying on the sofa. The foam they are made of seems to be quite strong, so I think it will hold up indefinitely for lighter animals, but I don't know how it will hold up with heavier animals over time. I have a 70lb dog that used them once (I saw lol) and the ladder sank when stepping on it but regained its shape afterwards. They're a little pricey in my opinion, but they look better than some others I've seen and go well with my living room.
