Lol, on first use the black plastic rock attached to the tension adjustment screw on the scissors fell off and rolled across the floor. No problem... I think he looks better without it. I've only used it once so far, but the scissors cut well. The tweezers have nice sharp edges but are wider than the tweezers (about 1/4 inch in diameter) so are a little clumsy for getting at fine hairs without scratching the skin. The clips are rusted and have rough edges and should definitely be sanded down before use. Torn between returning and trying to upgrade, but I figure the scissors alone, if actual Japanese stainless steel, is worth the price of the kit.
