This scale looks and works just like any other digital kitchen scale I've ever used. I didn't rigorously test it for accuracy, but it returned numbers that were consistent and looked right. The screen shines very brightly and will dim after a minute as the backlight turns off automatically. it remains legible when the lights are off. The metal tray on the top is removable for easy cleaning. The device has an odd number of units that it makes available. Pressing the Units button toggles between milliliters (a unit of volume), ounces (weight), pounds ounces (slightly modified weight), fluid ounces (volume), and g (mass). In fact, it only measures mass (although under normal circumstances you won't have a problem measuring weight). Measures of volume assume you are measuring water I think, or something with the same density as water. For example, if you use it to measure the volume of flour, the results are meaningless. Also, the power button and units button touch, and I accidentally turned the scale off multiple times when trying to change units. Not the end of the world, but a clumsy design.
