Review on ๐Ÿ๏ธ O'Neal Sierra II Men's Full-Face Helmet for Slingshot Sports by Alan Brewer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Surprisingly quiet. Premium helmet feel.

My first ADV helmet. I was surprised at how quiet the helmet is. I was expecting more noise from the visor. The head ventilation is great, but I can't say it's possible to close the top vents. Cooler weather can get a bit chilly but for hot summer rides this helmet is nice and crisp. The cheek pads are pretty tight but I like them because they keep the helmet stable. My height is 60 cm, so just on the border between L and XL. I've heard they are a bit tight but I went for the big ones anyway as I can't stand loose helmets. It's a little cozy, but not too bad. I hope it loosens up a bit with wear. I like the shape more round than oval. The optics on the visors are excellent. Very large and clear overview. Only minor complaint: I wish the fold-down sun visor was height adjustable. That and the non-closable top vents keep it from earning five stars. Its mechanism is a bit stiff and when you fold it down it falls right on my face with some force. However, there's plenty of room to carry your glasses, even with the sun visor flip down. Gives the feel of a premium helmet at a bargain price.

Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
