Picked this up on a laptop. This is an Acer Aspire G50aii (V5-572G-53336) by Acer, Inc. The laptop had no issues. Two of the four partitions would not erase using disk management or Acronis Disk Director, despite repeated attempts. I had a hunch that a factory-supplied disk setup utility would be necessary. So, I checked out Toshiba's online portal. The People Who Really Need It Software for Aligning Partitions on Toshiba PAT Advanced Format Disks. Eu/cms/ru/support_services/advanced_format.Html My ideas say that communicating with the disk via Windows tools is required, and that all speed characteristics should be achieved by hardware rather than additional software. Perhaps retail customers who do not get properly aligned parts when they buy, but now I have a problem: how to send everything back. There is no speed unit in there at all.
