I have been baking for over forty years. During that time I have used and owned several benches. This is a keeper for the following reasons: 1. The blade is durable, stainless steel and will not rust. The blade is not sharp and shouldn't be. Note: This is a scraper, not a knife or cleaver. It was made for scraping dough, not cutting vegetables.2. The handle is made of polypropylene. It feels comfortable in the hand and the structured surface offers additional grip. To clean, place in a bowl of hot, soapy water or on the top shelf of the dishwasher. not what I would recommend for these "pretty" wooden handle scrapers.3. It is made in the USA. Does it really matter you ask? i'm willing to bet Buying a Chinese-made product doesn't give Americans jobs. If you pay a few bucks more for a US made scraper, you won't go bankrupt.
