This is a decent fan for its size and price. Pros: The metal base is better than the plastic base of other fans. Seems solid so far, but I don't have any kids or large pets in the house to trip over. Allows a good breeze to inflate, and the up/down height adjustment works smoothly. Works quietly. Cons: Assembly is a nightmare, mainly due to the very poorly worded instructions. The terms used to describe some parts do not match the names on the assembly diagram. It took twice as long to put together than it should because you basically need his wing. The control buttons on the fan itself are very difficult to reach - you have to bend down and then climb behind the fan shroud to reach them on the stand. Luckily, a remote control is included, but don't lose it or you'll have to bend down a lot to turn it on and off. He really can be a few centimeters taller. From bottom to top I measure it 52 inches - 44 inches to the center of the fan blades.
