Of course it works anywhere there is space and wind, but I mostly used it on the beach. Dear simplicity! It never needs to be charged. No bluetooth to pair! LAUGH OUT LOUD. I've had it for a few years now, so I don't remember if it was hard to put together or not (because I don't remember, I tend to make it easy). I love that it's interactive, unlike other kites I've owned that are just hang, set and forget. So you can take risks! You can slam it into the bottom (sand or water, multiple times in my case, no harm) or barely pull it back to safety from your dive - this can be accomplished with a horizontal figure eight, which can get very intense. It has a few lines that add complexity, but as another reviewer advises, never reverse any of them. Straightening the threads out of the box takes a bit of patience - no different than a jigsaw puzzle if you approach it with a good attitude. Packing with proper string management is also very important :). Great for kids too for the price! If you don't take a kite with you on holiday, you're sure to find one everywhere. But it will cost you a lot more money!
