Works great, installation is not for the inexperienced installer

Great little kit that solves the problem of adapting modern car wiring to an old 4 wire trailer configuration. I started trying to build my own wiring harness but decided against it after realizing that modern wiring has a separate brake and turn signal circuit that would not work with a trailer configuration where the turn signal circuit separates the stop signal circuit. In general the kit was very well assembled with one exception. All the components have been put together well and the kit includes a nice, heavy gauge, high temp cable to connect to the battery (and there are plenty of those). My complaint, as others have pointed out, is that the trailer wiring harness is installed on the wrong side of the hub to be in your cargo area. Most people want the seat belt to be under the car. To do this, part of the sleeve had to be slit and pushed back. It wasn't a big problem, but it looks like a silly mistake on the part of the manufacturer. I would recommend some small zip ties to hold the sleeve together after the slit. A bit of sealant might be a good idea after the installation is complete. Installation took about 2 hours and I have experience with vehicles including electrical wiring. The installation instructions do not quite cover all the necessary steps. Access to the work area in the trunk is narrow but workable. You cannot fully open the workspace, but you can access this area. Added a few photos of the installation process. The process of installing the T-connector(s) did not take much time. The longest part of the installation was running the power cable to the battery. There is a good clear path under the car but it takes time to route the wire and put on nylon ties to hold it in place. Be prepared to spend some time under the car. One reviewer noted that they had to install a relay component on the underside of the car. I had no problem installing it behind the side panel, in the car and somewhere safe. It comes with a nice sticky backing to keep it from rattling. Overall I enjoyed putting it in, but it would be difficult for an inexperienced mechanic.
