These were direct replacement for the cheap incandescent lamps as you can see in the right sun visor. I could not believe how bright they were. This is the first time that I can ever remember saying those leds are too bright. For the application of vanity mirror lights I would have to warn you away from these. They are brighter than the replacement led dome lights I just installed. To get them to not be so intense I had to turn them 90° to where they point toward the mirror instead of at the user. My wife said she needed sunglasses to see herself and would not even think about opening this up while night driving and I kinda agree. So are they bright? Is it that pure white color? Yes and yes but bad choice for vanity application but I cannot in all fairness write a bad review for too bright.
