DWL-280Pro bought along with DWL-80Pro for checking vertical alignment on work tools (which worked reasonably well, also my mechanic's level can't be read from above down , which was a great advantage of digital levels). The magnet will suffice if placed on a large enough surface (no worse than other large digital levels I own). The buttons are a little hard to press, but they're covered to keep water out, so I don't mind. Tested both planes for 0 degrees and 90 degrees and noticed a slight discrepancy, also quick and easy self-calibration (listed in the instructions, you can also find a YouTube video on the Digi-Pas website) and now they match perfectly. Did a quick comparison test with the Rider Level (0.005 in/ft vs. 0.012 in/ft on the DWL-280Pro and DWL-80Pro) - obviously none can replace the Rider Level but I'd feel safe carrying them around for spot checks and the to display expensive driver levels only when the digi-pas levels indicate something wrong.
