As a professional window cleaner, I needed a way to remove occasional dirt from the outside of large fixed picture windows using access from either side of them with my extension cord and cloth. Attempting to attach fabric to the top of the pole using my own improvisational methods was clumsy and unreliable UNTIL I bought this "Ungar Fixi Clamp". The ring pivots easily to open the jaw to a large 3.5" gap (wide enough to accommodate even heavy, folded, or twisted fabrics) and closes the clip just enough to hold even the thinnest of jaws . fits easily into my "Ettore"/"Ungar" tapered tip at the end of the rod and is friction fit (and will probably attach to ANY rod with a tapered tip adapter).
