This lighting set was exactly what I was looking for. I have shelves above my computer desks and an outlet that plugs into a wall switch, so I wanted a set that I can plug in rather than one that runs on batteries. This kit contains everything you need to get started. The lights were narrower than I expected but they work great. They are very light and I didn't worry about using glue to secure them under my shelves. There are jumper cables of various lengths that allowed me to connect and light under 3 shelves. The lights are dimmed with a remote control, and the remote control comes with everything you need to mount it on a wall or cabinet. For convenience, we keep ours in a drawer. The light produced is bright enough to illuminate that side of the room without blinding those seated at the table. It's not the main light source for this room, but unless someone is reading a book, it's become the most used light source because it's nice and not too bright like the overhead light in the room.
