As far as basic functionality goes, I have no complaints. I inserted three 4TB HGST drives to add storage to my HTPC/Media Server setup, everything showed up and worked great. Hooking it up was easy and the fan wasn't too loud. However, I will find fault with the reliability of the hardware. Less than a month after installation, the fan sounds like it already has a bad bearing and makes a pretty horrible noise every time it turns on. Every time one of the three discs spins, I even hear noises from the next room. The fan appears to be a custom size and replacement requires, at a minimum, the entire case to be removed from the case. Assuming I can even find the right size fan to replace. If I can't find a different brand/model fan that fits as a replacement, I just buy a new 3-bay adapter and it's gone. for electronics recycling.
