Review on Universal Geeetech 3Dman Extruder Printers by Adam Gechem

Very impressed after some fiddling

You need to put a small washer on the bottom of the gear on the lever that rotates in the open position to restrict it or it will pop out if you print quickly with the case. This resulted in 2 failed prints, both after an hour and a half to two hours. I was printing with a 0.8 nozzle, so quite a bit of filament was wasted in that time. If you add a tiny shim to keep the gear on the opening arm from playing, this won't happen again. Have spent 100 hours on it since then and it works flawlessly. Actually I had a spool with an overlap that was getting blocked and when I went in the extruder lifted the printer and slammed it onto the top of the bay. It was pretty impressive. It's cool when you fix this little problem. When this wears out, I'll buy another one. A 20 cent puck is enough to make this work like an $80 BMG.

Pros
  • Spring Mount: Bowden's extruder allows the user to fine tune the torque with the nut to suit most filaments such as PLA/ABS/PETG/TPU/NYLON/CARBON FIBER/WOOD.
Cons
  • Not sure
