I bought this SSD enclosure to upgrade the SSD on my Lenovo laptop. Unfortunately, the Win 10 update killed the OS - none of the tricks described on the internet helped to restore the boot sector - and I had to replace the SSD, restore data and reinstall applications. Nevertheless, I had decided to do a "brain transplant” because the factory 250 GB SSD was of little use for my purposes. I removed the old SSD from the laptop, put it in a case, put a new 2TB SSD in the laptop, then reinstalled Win 10, then restored data from the old SSD to the new SSD, then reinstalled apps ( which are still uninterrupted). . Finally, I kept the old SSD in the case. The enclosure worked great with the old SSD to restore data to the new SSD and now serves as a backup drive. There was no sign of overheating and data transfer speeds were excellent. Definitely a goalkeeper.
