I tried a 2TB 520 from Seagate in this case, it's too narrow as the chipset is on either side of the drive and it's a bit thicker than lower capacity drives. . After everything is assembled it cannot be removed as it is too tight so swapping the hard drives won't work in this case. Instead, I recommend the ASUS ROG NVME case. It's thinner but wider so cooling performance is about the same, but it's roomier than this.

This is without a doubt the best NVMe USB enclosure available. The tolerances are very tight. The silicone gasket and screen are a little tricky to get into the case but I know they won't rattle at all! And that tight fit ensures excellent heat transfer to the aluminum body. I tested the device on Windows 10 and macOS 11.15.5 and the transfer speed is very good! The USB cable lock is unusable, the device comes with a carrying case.

Overall, the Picatinny-style ineo M.2 case is worth a look. but hey, it's not boring! Comes with everything you need to connect your own SSD and get started. Anyone who works with M2 hard drives knows that they can get very hot. When using them with a portable case, you don't have the computer's internal fans, making it even more important that they can dissipate heat.
